Westport Shopping Center is located in the southwest part of Montgomery, Alabama, at the corner of the Mobile and Selma Highways. Shoppers are drawn from local neighborhoods, the Montgomery Regional Airport complex and a nearby industrial community, including Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama, a $1.1 billion automotive plant that opened in 2005 and employs 2,700 people. Several other industries that supply parts to the manufacturing plant are in the area, employing more than 500.
Also nearby and drawing visitors, Gateway Park is a 180-acre City facility with a golf course, clubhouse and lake. In addition, Westport Shopping Center’s strategic location enables the center to service a predominantly rural population base well into south Montgomery County and adjoining Lowndes County.
